Britannia Southern provides regular assistance to UK & European based moving companies that often rely on our local knowledge and expertise to complete their busy workloads and save valuable time and resources. Our range of services includes the following:
Fully containerised storage facilities available in the event that your customer cannot take delivery of the consignment for whatever reason (i.e. house not ready, account not settled, insufficient space in new home).
Distribution services throughout the region of Andalucia. We supply moving companies with an easy to use "rate calculator" so there is no need to request rates for every job - you simply refer to the corresponding zone and volume of consignment.
Transshipment vehicles for deliveries with access issues. We have smaller vans suitable for the most complicated of deliveries, from the narrow streets encountered in the rural villages of Malaga to the busy city centres of the popular coastal resorts like Marbella, Fuengirola, and Benalmadena. We can even deliver goods via underground parking (min. height of 2mts). A "Man and Van" service is also available.
Uniformed and experienced porters and packers with local knowledge of the area. Our porters can meet your driver at the client's address or can be collected from our depot. Hourly rate (min. of 8 hours).
Destinations services for FCL shipments, including the delivery, unloading, unpacking, reassembly of furniture and removal of packing debris. Our quotations include all charges from port of arrival to final destination address (THC, port charges, admin fees, inland haulage) and also customs clearance formalities.
Access reports prior to your vehicle's arrival. We can verify if there are any weight or length restrictions, parking issues, bad road conditions, obstacles such as archways, etc. Also pre-move quantity estimating and full evaluation of the packing requirements.
Supply of quality packing materials to moving companies including standard cartons, book boxes, linen cartons, hanging garment carriers, picture cartons, bubble wrap, mattress covers, wrapping paper and tape. We can also deliver packing materials to your client for advance packing.
Safe loading and unloading of vehicles from trucks and containers using a platform recovery truck to minimise risk. Also external furniture lift rental (min. charge of 4 hours).
Delivery of consignments to the rock of Gibraltar (outside the EU for Customs purposes) subject to us receiving all the required documentation from the moving companies.
Written and photographic recording of insurance claims including a repair service for damaged items when required. We can arrange for prompt replacement of broken glass, mirrors and marble.
RATE CALCULATOR
This easy to use rate calculator provides moving companies with instant distribution rates from our warehouse in Mijas-Costa (Malaga) which means there's no need to request rates for every job - simply refer to the corresponding zone and volume of consignment. You can view the distribution zones in the map below or use the drop down text windows to find a specific town. There is a minimum charge of 10m3 unless otherwise agreed. For small consignments and areas beyond zone 5 please feel free to contact us.

REQUIREMENTS
Monday to Friday delivery with 2 men.
Good access for our vehicles (no transshipping needed).
Reasonable carry distance (under 50 metres).
Up to 1st floor without lift but not above.
No external furniture lift required (this is extra).
No parking permits required.
Normal household goods (no pianos, safes, etc.)
Full payment required before the redelivery.
EXAMPLE
An Irish international moving company delivers 13m3 of furniture and household goods to our warehouse in Mijas Costa because their client's new home in Spain isn't ready and the truck has to return to Ireland as soon as possible. The delivery is to a house in Competa. Our rate to deliver this load including two weeks free storage would be as follows:
Competa = Zone 2
Volume = 13m3
Our rate: 13 x 30 = 390 Euros.
