How it all works... Goods coming into store require a different level of packaging than that of a local move. On the removal day our staff will pack and wrap your household goods, make a full inventory of all items coming into the warehouse and label every item accordingly. After the consignment has been loaded onto the vehicles you will be handed a duplicate copy of the inventory so that you know what has been collected and can check, on unloading, that every single item has been delivered back to you. Depending on the service required, we can blanket wrap or bubble wrap your furniture and supply you with removal boxes for you to do some or all of the packing or you can leave everything for us to pack. As soon as you request a quotation our representative will arrange an appointment with you to survey the goods and determine the number of storage containers required. Remember that our quotations are written agreements, the price agreed is the price you pay. Access to the storage container Although we don't operate a self storage facility you can still access your containers providing you give us 48hrs notice. Bear in mind that containers are stowed away in aisles and aren't readily accessible at a minutes notice. If there are items you wish to retrieve from storage before others, we suggest that you inform our crew on collection and they'll place them at the front of the container or dedicate a whole container to them depending on the quantity. That way you won't have to rummage through your whole consignment for that Christmas tree or your winter clothes. There's a small handling charge associated with this service that includes us retrieving the container from the warehouse, placing it in a secure place and assisting the client to find the required items. Moving into your new home... On the delivery day you will be asked to check every item off the inventory when it is carried into your residence. This way you can personally verify that we have delivered exactly what we collected. Our staff will then proceed to place everything where you require, removing all of the packaging in the process. Any item of furniture that was disassembled by us will be reassembled again. Depending on your estimate, we can also unpack all of the boxes packed by our staff and place the contents where instructed. Certain services like plumbing in washing machines and dishwashers, hanging up pictures, tuning in televisions and satellite systems are never included in an estimate although we will gladly provide you with reputable contacts that offer this service at a reasonable price. Frequently asked questions 1. Can I bring my goods into your store myself? Certainly. You can use a rent-a-van or even another removal company if you prefer. As long as you don't require assistance to unload the van and stow the goods into the container there are no extra charges, otherwise you'll be charged our normal handling fee. Please enquire about our collection service, we can offer on site direct loading into the storage containers. More information is available on the container truck page. 2. Do you subcontract your storage? No, we don't. Unlike the smaller moving companies that have limited space and use self storage companies when they are full, Britannia Southern has ample storage facilities which you are welcome to visit. We're not storage brokers or commission driven intermediaries. The storage contract you sign is strictly between the client and Mudanzas Britania SL. 3. How many days notice do you require for redelivery? We require at least 7 working days notice to guarantee a date, especially during the peak periods of summer and the run up to Christmas. The more notice you give us the better we can organize the redelivery of your goods although we do understand that property transactions and unforeseen delays may prevent this from happening. |
