We bring the warehouse to your front door
Thanks to our purpose built "container truck", furniture and household goods can be loaded directly into our industry standard 7m3 wooden storage containers at the client's home (depending on good access and parking). Handling is kept to an absolute minimum, considerably reducing therefore the risk of accidental damage to the client's possessions.

On the moving day, our truck will arrive loaded with empty storage containers. Once everything has been packed, labelled and listed our crew will begin to load your furniture and personal effects directly into the containers via the side and rear doors of the truck, where the contents will remain untouched. When the time comes to deliver the goods to your new residence, we simply fork-lift the containers back onto the truck at the warehouse, drive to your address, take off the container doors and start unloading. It's that simple!

Less handling = less risk of damage
With this system, the client can witness firsthand how the goods are loaded into our clean, dry & secure containers and check no space has been wasted. Collection and delivery is made much easier and quicker as the goods are handled only twice not four times (load at house > unload at store > reload at store > unload at house). The container design also enables the placement of a seal on the door clip for added security. When the containers are unloaded at the warehouse with the fork-lift our crew will place a label on each container and note the location on the storage board.

1. Why don't more local companies offer this service?
There are two main reasons why "container trucks" aren't as popular here as they are in the UK:

• Poor access and parking.
  Because of the dimensions of the truck, especially the height, there are many instances where it just cannot get close enough to the address to allow normal loading and unloading. Low arches, narrow lanes, tight bends, weight restrictions, unsafe dirt tracks or overhanging trees(all quite common in Andalucia), often mean that the truck has to be parked at a considerable distance away from the property and depending on the walk, this isn't always a viable option. In other cases, the lack of parking space is the major concern, especially in the town centres where parking permits are often required to complete the move.

• Storage as a proportion of overall business.
  A company has to be heavily committed to storage to warrant investing in these trucks. With over 320 storage containers in our warehouse, Britannia Southern is one of the biggest storage companies on the coast and depends heavily on implementing the "container truck" system locally. Amongst the smaller storage companies there is a tendency of not using the containers to their full potential, that is, the containers never leave the warehouse as such. The benefits of reduced handling and customers' peace of mind are lost in these cases.

2. What are the vehicle's external dimensions?
The overall length of our container truck is the equivalent to two small cars in a line but the height and width mustn't be overlooked. The capacity of the truck is 38 cubic metres if loose loaded or 21 cubic metres if loaded with 3 containers.
