 Legal Answers:
 The current Road Transport  legislation in Spain categorizes all infringements into three grades: minor, serious and very serious.

Infraction Grade

Applicable Fine

Minor

Warning or fine of up to 400 Euros.

Serious

From 401 Euros to 2.000 Euros

Very Serious*

From 2.001 Euros to 18.000 Euros

* May incur additional penalty measures.

 

Very Serious Infringements:


1. Undertaking public transport services or auxiliary activities without being in possession of a valid transport licence.
 

2. Undertaking public transport services outside of the territorial boundaries set forth in the transport licence.
 

3. Falsifying any of the documents required to obtain a public transport licence.
 

4. Tampering with the tacograph, speed limiter and any other control device required by law.
 

5. Significant absence of the legally required used tacograpgh discs both in the truck and at the company depot.
 

6. Exceeding 25% of the vehicle's permitted gross weight when the vehicle has a gross weight limit of under 10tn.
